Why does LW delete the files and mark as dangerous? Is there anyway to stop LW from deleting the file?

No. And these are known dangerous files. Even though the files might play ok, they contain DRM which may contain a virus, malware, spyware, or other links to a dangerous website. They may ask you to go to a particular site to download a codec to play the video but instead the codec is a virus or worse! etc. etc.

I appreciate the deleting of dangerous files that can redirect and trick novices into downloading viruses, such files would get past an AV scanner. However, I don't understand why the LW programmers have not included a feature that would allow your AV to auto scan downloads, just like the Firefox browser or your normal email or IM applications. Yes, some other Gnutella programs do allow you to use your own AV program to scan files just as in a similar way iTunes works with LW.
