Anyone plz.. can't search
 

I recently got hooked up with some high speed by satellite and went to go download a song. It will let me connect just fine, full connection and all that but it won't search anything at all. I've tried searching songs, artists, and even the letter A and got absolutely nothing. I have no idea how to change settings on limewire to let it know i have a new connection type or if i have too at all so, anyone with any advice please it's much appreciated! thanks in advance.

Your LW use might be affected by ISP influence.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included 2nd last post of page.)

I'd also suggest you update your LW ... http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe :)

I'm still having some problems getting my limewire to work. I've tried to do like you said in the instructions #2 & 3.. yet i couldn't find anything.. So i deleted limewire completely from my computer and am trying to re install and it keeps saying something about a win32 or something. It also has told me to obtain a new copy from the publisher.. but when i try to go from limewire.com to download it says the same thing. From download.com it does the same thing and for the link you've provided it tells me i am not authorized.. :(

oh .. looks like they have removed the file from that link. That was the offline version. I'll find out about possible alternative. :)

But in meantime follow these steps but use the regular download link for LW Reinstallation Technique and use Download LimeWire 5.5.8 - Lime Wire

ok i tried downloading from the link you provided below, and after doing so and trying to re-install this is what it told me.

installer integrity check has failed. common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. contact the installers author to obtain a new copy.

I have used it for years for various freeware apps and the downloads have always been good. They also update to the latest versions fast and give the option for older versions.
