Help w/ download

I'm new to this and feel really dumb, but I need help with downloading a program.

I successfully downloaded a code for what I need, but now what do I do? Do I go directly to the site and enter the code? What if it asks for a user name and ID plus password? Do I create one? I'm very confused about the whole thing. Could someone please shed some light on this for me?
