sourses dwindle, plz help

I've already searched for an answer but can't find it.

I have broadband and it's pretty fast when I download something off the internet. BUT, with bearshare, my sources dwindle until I have to restart bearshare to get the file going again.

For example, I download a file which had 925 sources (yee haa you would think). It would download with 16-17 sources at first, then the sources would go down until there were none and the file would stop downloading.

Can anyone please tell me how I may be able to fix this?
