Hey can anyone help me its not really really bad but its annoying.

I got limewire a couple of days ago and it was all good and i got a couple of videos, but not whenever i try to get more, they download as files so i cant preview them, and it doesnt say their name so there is no way to know what they are. Most of them turn out to be ads or nothing to do with what it said. When i resume cancelled downloads they are good but the others are unpreviewable.

Can someone tell me how to make them the same thing as they are when I begin the dowload from the main bit. Thanks

Before you download a file (movie, or music) you should check the file using the "Look up with Bitzi" function of LW. (right click the file you want in the search result and choose Advanced>Look up with Bitzi, if I'm not mistaken).
Look also at files sizes, a movie should be anything from 500MB up (for series it might be 250MB up).
The ads you get are most likely quick time files and not worth being downloaded. Also avoid files which offer hundreds of hosts, choose those with some 10-20 hosts.

If you have general preview problems you might consider downloading a different media player. The free VLC player has built-in codecs and can play almost any file:

OK, what should come up for the bitzi thing because i just tried one that was unpreviewable and it said it had no information on it

If Bitzi doesn't have information about that file, it could mean that no-one so far has commented on the file (maybe it is a not very popular file), the files is a faked one (spam, ad) or the file name as such doesn't exist.

If you check as well the file size then I'm sure you will be able to judge whether the file you searched for is really the file you want.
Besides, scan all files you've downloaded with an Antivirus program before opening.

Hey if anyone else shares this problem i discovered you can just drag the file """""ICON""""" onot your desktop and play it with media player (if its sound or video) or with microsoft picture manager (for pictures) and i dont no what else.
