Having problems downloading.

A file can have 300 online sources, but sometimes it uses only 1 or 2, and on many occasions does not start at all! How do I correct this? I am on an ADSL connection, all settings are jacked up so I should be getting maximum downloading speeds, I set it up so I'm getting "99 files at a time", and I am on Windows XP Pro and BearShare version 5.1, but this happens on all version.

I will probably not be on these forums overly often, so please to contact me either add me on MSN or send an e-mail to ******

Thank you in advance.

That could be a fake or it could be so fresh that you just ended up at the back of the line.

Click the plus sign icon beside the filename and enable the columns GUID, Host
and Version by right-clicking a column header or clicking the "Downloads ▼"
button at the top left corner of the download list.

Does anything about those hosts stand out, like no info or they are all similar
in some way?

I am not 100% on what you mean by "stand out" but I'll give you an example of one that... Is going unbelievably slow, (1 source, and the rest are simply not working.)

EDIT: Ahh, dang it... That didn't seem to work too well... Well, I'm downloading 4 videos right now,

Video 1: Version(79) - Host(79) - GUID(79)
Video 2: Version(84) - Host(84) - GUID(84)
Video 3: Version(91) - Host(91) - GUID(91)
Video 4: Version(163) - Host(163) - GUID(163)

Video 4 is downloading with a single source, the rest are not downloading at all.

Post the image here instead of that spam haven. The forum software blocks
that server. You can attach it to any post by using the advanced editor.

Sorry for the wait. It's up now, JPEG, but it's up regardless.

I see nothing because you haven't expanded the lists.
See the tiny box with a plus sign beside each filename?
Click it to open up the lists so you can see the details.

The images will be pretty big so just rename it as a .mov file.

Sorry that took so long.

No problemo. I was watching some of my downloads anyway. :p

Let's see…

AaronWalkhouse June 17th, 2007 04:44 AM

Yeah, the first three are obvious fakes. Note how there's no info except
sometimes the first one will be a LimeWire node. In fact, none of those
computers exist, not even the first one, which is why the downloads don't start.
Those fakes exist solely to swamp your searches so they will stop before a real
file is found.

The fourth one is much better.
See how it has plenty of info about each source.
Right-click it and get a Bitzi ticket to see if anybody had something to say.
