![]() hi, found the problem, and it is now solved, and all is good. Now, all I need is for someone to outline the steps in downloading a movie from torrent....how to use the bittorrent, and how to actually d/l a movie. I've d/l'd a bittorrent, then tried to d/l a movie, and got nothing. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but haven't a clue. thanks for any help. |

![]() Samnbrone You are confusing Limewire, the software program, with the Gnutella network, that LW uses to search for your movies. Gnutella is full of nasties, so using another program will not get rid of that problem. If you use Bitzi you can avoid much of the grabage. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...owse-chat.html To play movies you probably need to update your CODECs. More info here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/tips-t...p3-fixers.html Since LW does not comply with all of the standards for torrent handling, many sites ban or restrict dls via LW. You would do much better using a dedicated torrent client such as Azureus or uTorrent. More info here: Beginners Guide mod: I just noticed that this is the BS forum, so perhaps these last few posts should be moved. sorry |
