| I've monitored it a bit, and it doesn't seem to be systematic. It'll be running fine for 1 minute one time, then drop the bps for a couple seconds, then back up... Or it might stay in the really low numbers the whole time. I'm not sure what it is, but I don't have anything running while it is, don't have any security, nor a firewall, or anything... It's just straight up. I wondered if it might have something to do with internet updates as I haven't yet been able to perform any since my system is 'invalid'. Could that affect it at all? I'm just trying to think of what I changed when I formatted. |

Mega-Bad. If you have any 'traffic indicator' light on your modem or router, please observe it with you connected to your ISP but with you doing absolutely nothing... No browsing, no open browser apps... No e-mail... Nothing... Just be connected to your ISP... No keyboard or mouse activity... Nothing. And, after at least 30-45 minutes, check to see what 'activity' is shown by your modem/router. zombie 'infection' are an enormous problem and are very often not noted by so-called advanced anti-virus apps.
