Unable to install

I was having an issue with the program constantly refreshing every second. It would not play any songs I downloaded. Nor would my converter convert the songs to mp3 format (error message).When trying to play in Bearshare I would get the error message, "Bearshare has encountered a problem and can not play back the selected file. Would you like to delete this from your library or computer." So I uninstalled Bearshare, ran a virus scan and spyware scan. I found 2 items of concern and they have been deleted. Computer has been rebooted and I just downloaded Bearshare. Now it won't install. What can be the problem. I have a paid subscription and can't use the program.
