I honestly didn't consider it an ad, but we shall remove it in the next version - unless somebody actually pays us for promoting a website where anybody can offer legitimate content for gnutella at no charge...

Peerguardian might also help in that regard: Peerguardian (FREE)

Unzipping the file did not create a seperate frostwire folder first (like limewire did), it just extracted everything into the current folder. Other than that, very nice. No upgrade pop-ups woo-hoo!!!

search progress?

Maybe this is just a beta skin thing, but I miss the progress bar in the search results tab.

(Running FW under Linux, FC4)

Good work, amigos!

hm, I'm looking at the progress tab right now, - but it is very hard to see with the frostwire theme since it is in a very light grey.

I ran Frostwire though the night and two things occurred. After 1 or 2 downloads iTunes integration switched off with the usual error message. Also at some stage it disconnected as the error message that it would try to reconnect was showing. It clearly did reconnect. Internet dsl connection stayed open and in the morning was working fine. Whilst iTunes integration is not that unusual in other Limewire versions, I have not had the disconnection problem before, and I notice a number of Limewire uses have recently reported this.

I know there is an issue with the windows version, that does not set all the Java options from the original run script.

Can 'Show License Warning' be removed or default to off?

trap_jaw4 October 14th, 2005 02:55 AM

it can be turned off, yes...
