 the "8-source" limit depends on the speed settings. . . . they are lower for modems; higher for T3's. IIRC, they were decided in order to optimize downloads for everyone (so that one client can't hog all the spots). LW Pro, for example, allows one or two extras, but the developers there have said that if it hurts the network, they will have to rethink their "Pro advantage."  |
