Its an output console for the log4j logger. Its main uses are for debugging.

well that explains that! but if you cut down tree, like a logger then you should plant 4 in it's place.

And how do you use it? Where is there a page that explains it? Or does anyone have the time to make a "how-to" thread explaining it?

I think it's a bit short to say it's used for debugging without saying how it works
