That will work so long as you don't use LimeWire in the same session. Otherwise the modem will tell you the port is unavailable & you'd need to reboot to use FW. It might be better doing a separate port for FW as suggested earlier.
ie: port forwarding a separate port & setting FW up for using a separate port under Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & connection & listening ports.

ok so i still see a brick wall and it still says starting connection. and i used a seperate port.is there anything else i can do??

Do the XP firewall configuration but then disable XP firewall. (Just in case!)
So which port did you port forward FW to? Which ports do you have it set to in your FW advanced firewall options? |

Just curious as to what number you are entering into the listening port number. Are you using the same number for the the listening port and the forward port. They both should be the same number.
