"Connections" tab? (want to connect with another user)

Hi,

I'm a total newbie, so I'm not sure if this even works, but here goes.

I want to connect with my brother from the Connections tab. So I click "Add" and enter in

pool-**-***-***-**.******.dsl-w.verizon.net (stars replacing ip/loc.)

But I'm not sure what I enter in for port. So I leave that blank, and it puts in some random port. It says Connecting..., but then dissapears seconds later.

So, how would I be able to connect?

I'm not a frostwire user, but it's suppose to be exactly the same as Limewire...
So that being said there should be a Direct Connect tab where you would enter your brothers IP number...
You both need to make sure you have no firewalls (wall in front of the globe) as this will stop the connection...
