Same story as everyone, stuck on starting connection.
If you have problems you can't solve then please post a thread giving the following details: OS version: Windows Vista. Firewalls: Windows Firewall, is there one in Norton? Ram: 1.9GB (2GB) Hard Disk Space: 243.5GB Connection type: Cable Modem & router brand name: Modem: Superlink2810 Router: Linksys Trying to connect from: Home Frostwire Version: 4.18.0 Java version: 1.6.0_01 ISP provider: Bell-Aliant Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Used it a while. 12. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of FW's interface? Yes! |

Depends which Norton package you have. Check the Norton folder & see if there is a firewall there. If there is, then choose between either Norton or Vista's firewall to use & disable the other one. Add FW as an exception to the one you decide to use; Setting up an exception for LimeWire/FrostWire in your software firewall (click in link). Simply add FW instead of the suggested LW.
![]() Set FW to run as administrator by right-clicking on the shortcut to the program. If you have not used FW in a while, perhaps you need a fresh gnutella.net file. Try the tips here: If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link). Of course, these tips apply to both LW & FW. ![]() BTW your Java is not the most recent. Sometimes it can affect connection. Java Downloads for All Operating Systems - Sun Microsystems & choose the Offline installer.

Forgot to mention, if you update your Java, you should reboot your computer to get the newer version into action.
