I cant connect

3. How much ram? 2.0 gb
4. Hard Disk space available? 113gb
5. Connection type? Broadband idk im connected to Verizon
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Verizon Actiontec GT704GB (v2)
7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home
8. What version of FrostWire (FW) & Java do you have? 4.18.1 FW 1.6.0_13 Java
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Verizon
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Connected to ps3, 2 wii's and 2 laptops 1 Pc, Wii's and one laptop is wireless Ps3, computer, and one laptop is wired
11. Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user? New Problem with exped User
12. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of FW's interface? Yep
That one site For Limwire To test if the port is blocked Said IT WORKED for me, i also manually port fowarded the Port.

Sometimes with Norton, you need to remove & re-add firewall exceptions after updates to either Norton or the particular program such as FW. Make sure it allows exception for both TCP & UDP.

If there is more than one FW being used on the network, make sure neither the listening or connection ports are the same; routers will reserve one port per computer & per application.

The instructions on replacing the gnutella.net file are same as LW, except of course the folder is called FrostWire. An old sample image of how to find FW prefs folder: FrostWire Preferences folder (click on link). (That sample image is for deleting the FW prefs folder, however it does at least show you how to find the folder.)

Thank You so much, i just repeated norton internet access and deleted the user files, and added gurella.net idk i cudnt ifnd it in it, mustve been deleted some were. ty

So it's connecting now?

Same thing happened to me and the Norton problem only happened once. Since then all is OK
