FrostWire has an option to uninstall. ie: Start menu -> All Programs -> FrostWire -> Uninstall.

Attachment 5791 (Click thumbnail sample image. Snapshot from Windows 7's Start Menu.)

Are you sure the program itself is not uninstalled? Maybe the shortcut is all that's left over. If necessary, use Crap Cleaner, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html on how to use it to get rid of shortcuts and left over registry files, etc.

Sorry for the late reply. There is no shortcut in all programs in start menu. I tried to uninstall through Windows7 & it said it was succesfull, however, when I tried to download a torrent Frostwire kept activating instead of VUZE. I have installed Utorrent which has stopped Frostwire activating but I would still like to get rid of it. I cant find it anywhere on my PC when I look in programs ect, is it still in my PC or not?? I know if I uninstalled Utorrent Frostwire would activate again. What have I done wrong? Vuze uninstalled fine, why not Frostwire? If it was as good as Limwire I would keep it, unfortunatley, its not.

To choose which program opens a torrent file, right-click any torrent file you have downloaded from a website, then choose Open With ... click the always open with option to set as default for all torrent files.

FrostWire uses portions of Vuse code for its torrent abilities.

Keep in mind Windows 7 has two application folders, depending on whether they are 32 or 64 bit or system type programs.

Do a computer search for all types of files, frostwire. There is probably support folders and files for frostwire which still exist on your computer. Also run CCleaner.

FrostWire will most likely have been installed into: C:\Program Files (x86)\FrostWire

You might have the Portable FrostWire version somewhere?

Delete the following:

Preference files: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\FrostWire

C:\Users\Username\FrostWire (Various support folders and files inside such as Incomplete, Saved, Shared, Torrent Data, Torrents)

C:\Users\Username\My Documents\FrostWire

I presume you were using FrostWire 5? I have not installed v5 on Win 7, only v4. Though I did quickly test v5 on Win XP last year.
