I have just downloaded Phex and am working my way through it, but I am a bit of a dummy when it comes to all this. Please bare with me and I will ask my questions.

How do I connect to be able to "chat" with the "host" ?
What does it mean when I am 75% through downloading a song and all of a sudden it says " 6 ignored candidate"? Does it mean that they are offline.? Will the download start again automatically when they come back on.

I am pretty confused....sorry.

As yet I have not got chat to work. It needs the host at the other end to respond and I am not quite sure how Phex connects if atall to other applications. In my experience Chat does not work very well on Gnutella. You click on chat to host and a dialogue box comes up, but usually when you post, it says something like "host unavailable"

ignored candidate does seem to mean they have gone offline. It might be best to make a new search and start again, or they MIGHT come back on ... perhaps in a day or a week.

I'm a bit new too but you will get the hang of it. It is a bit complicated, so ask if you have anymore questions.
