Angry Unable to load files for sharing

Not sure which forum to post this problem in since I use IBM's OS/2 operating system (Warp 4.52) and Golden Code's Java 1.4.1 OS/2 Java release. If someone would be kind enough to point me to the proper forum all further posts will be placed there.

The good: Phex 2.8.2.92 works well under OS/2. I see as many as 21 connections, file transfers as high as 5kbs using just a dialup connection.

The bad: I get a Phex program error statement when trying to add new folders and files for sharing. I currently have about 5,000 files for share and these files were brought forward from previous working Phex releases. When I move to the Library and select the add folder (for sharing) I am allowed to do so (file menus come up, folders can be selected) but a few seconds later I get a pop up window in the lower right hand corner that reports an error and the request to add files has failed.

Another problem is the automatic moving of completed files to the designated folder. Phex won't do it and Phex doesn't provide a manual "move completed files" button (that I can find). I must open the incomplete directory and manually copy completed files to the appropriate directory. They are titled INCOMPLETE even tho' they are finished downloads. I must shutdown Phex in order to rename the moved file.

I don't find an "error log" in the Phex folder or I would post the exact error message.

Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.

This is the right forum , but I can't say much about you OS one of the experts will no doubt,

I just wondered if your incomplete and complete folders are side by side, as I have understood they should be.

I haven't come across the sharing error myself.

I have the same problem when sharing files, only I'm using Windows XP and Phex 2.8.2.92 here's the error.

Failed to load shared files.

Reason:
javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException: XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.
- with linked exception:
[org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.]

Anyone have any idea what this means?

That means that the cached file hashes failed to load.
It is not critical the only unfortunate thing is that Phex rehashes your files on next startup...

We have not figured yet why this happens to some users and why others dont have the problem at all... maybe the library we use for this is to blame.

But we try to come up with a solution...
I already worked on replacing the library to store this file, but cant do it everywhere at once.
