Unhappy Phex and Linux

Hi everybody

I've been having an annoying problem using Phex in Linux. The GUI sometimes seems to freeze, and usually it is veeeeery slooooow. I'm having this problem with 0.6 and 0.6.1, I haven't tested with older versions. Is this normal? I share only 84 files (5,6 GB).
Because of this problem I have to use LW, but I'd rather use Phex.

I forgot to mention that the new search options don't show the text boxes in the screen because there is no room! The labels are showed, but not the text boxes because the labels use all the screen width. I can only use maximum results, and result filter, but anyway the text boxes for those two are very small. I'm using 800x600 screen resolution.

64 MB RAM + 200 MB Linux swap. I know this isn't much memory, but this computer is only running Phex, and with Windows it's more than enough (can be different for Linux, thought). BTW, LW runs fast.

Smile I found it!

I found the problem. If I use passive search (and I use this at all times), then Phex GUI is extremely slow even I'm not enabling the search monitor (I never enable this anyway). When I stop the passive search, Phex works as fast as always!
Hehehe, I can continue running Phex (it's been running for 2 days non stop now).

Yes, passive search can be the reason. It uses a very high amount of CPU to compare all the different searches that are comming through your host.
