What if my modem isn't listed. Can I still connect.

You can still connect. You just need to adjust the bandwidth settings accordingly. Select the 56kbps connection. With a 28k modem you will have around 3,5KB max bandwidth. Every slider you adjust higher then 3,5KB would be almost like setting the bandwidth to unlimited...
Also you should reduce the number of open connections to somthing like MinConnections 1 or 2 and MaxConnections 2 or 3. Also set max simultaneous downloads to 1 and max simultaneous uploads to 1. Just play with the settings a bit to find the best for you. You should try to not do any other internet access besides a Gnutella client. Anyway I think which ever client you try to use you will have a hard time to get a good performance. Gregor |
