Default Accessing own network but not Gnutella network

can i make Gnutella program totally out of Gnutella network which means it only for personal use, allowed only a small group of people to access my OWN NETWORK to get some file but not Gnutella network, can i modify the program in this way?

thanks for the opinion.

If i were to change the Gnutella network to my own network, which file is storing the Gnutella Network IP is that Hosts or Hosts.orig file? is that hardcoded? can i replace my own webserver IP and port into it and where should i put in?

Thanks a lot for the opinion

There are no Gnutella network IPs. gtk-gnutella is requesting IPs from GWebCaches which are either hardcoded or distributed with the client.

thankyou, and do you mean that at first i have to create 1 webserver with Gwebcache afterthat i use the program to browse to this webserver find for the file i need? but logically this method is just add one extra client in the Gnutella Network isn't it? and it still keep browsing other client in the network right? My problem is i want my program ONLY browse to my permanent IP and Port, how to take out the Gnutella Network client IP from the program?

your help is really appreciated

Loun

Simply try Phex and switch the network to your own private netowork-name. http://phex.kouk.de
