I have recently taken all of my music off the computer since they take up so much room. Is there a way to download music to a zip drive and keep them there for uploading? (I hope this isn't a stupid questions!)

Ummm... I think you could just share the Zip drive (Drive E or whatever you're using), but what with the Zip drive's slow read time and all, I can't be too sure if it'll work...

I don't think the Zip Disk's read time will make any difference unless you're on a T3.
