| Anybody ever notice how long some hosts keep sending to you after you disconnect? I just started using Limewire and noticed even after 12 hours of being off line my firewall is still bouncing of requests from Gnutella network.. Seems like there should be a way for hosts to know or better learn when a host is gone. Just seems like a big waist of bandwith. |

| On the "to do list" I imagine. ![]() And it doesn't waste near the bandwith of spam Is a item that needs fixing. When you go down that fact should propagate across the network, it's something other systems could relay along and kill all inbound packets or quires untill they are aware of your presence again there-by reducing that data that is going to dead end looking for the non existant.Isn't the whole idea an adaptive network? Like the Web used to be before the greed-heads took over? |
