![]() Does anyone know a gnutella app that could connect to server using http or https proxy ?? I'm having problems because the network that I use is firewalled and I don't have socks proxy. I have tried several progs but none of them can establish a connection. |

![]() I would gripe to the school they should at least let you use ICQ. I don't know any for you to get around the firewall, but it might not be blocking all of the ports. Try scanning all the ports to see if any of them are open. If you find an open one, try running Gnutella on that port. Here is an address for a port scanner: http://www.sniffer.com/ |

![]() Gnut claimed to have a http-server in it, so eventually you could be able to connect to a gnut-servent using your browser. But I haven't tried gnut yet, so I can say nothing about it. As for the sniffer program - every sysadmin would see if you are using that stuff, so why not ask the sysadmin directly about free ports? Last edited by GreyFool; July 23rd, 2001 at 05:14 AM. |
