Windows XP PRO...downloaded Limewire and Java 1.4 and all is well...Except the sound playback is all broken up!
I downloaded songs any way and burned a cd...The cd sounded great.Whats my problem? same on limewire player or windows media player. Thanks

Is that the latest Java? huh. I thought 1.5 was the latest.
Anyhoo, how much RAM do you have aaaaaand are you also running other apps (like LW for example) while trying to playback (obviously that's the case when you use the LW media player, so I'm asking about WMP here). Also, what's your CPU power? Try updating your version of LW (the latest beta). It seems the player is vastly improved (I haven't tested it that much yet). Also, try playing your songs with only WMP up.
