I know that bearshare does, but just wondering if anyone knew what other (if any) gnutella clients also have spyware/addons included in their installations??

Do you also know any good sites that discuss this? including removal instructions??

What a shame you don't like kapitalist goodies,

I believe Bearshare and Swapnut are the only clients with nasty habbits.
The safest is to choose a open source client.

Go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/index.html and download Adaware.
It scans your comp. for spyware and removes it, there's a forum on their site as well.

And it is not only bearshare and swap nut, there are much more...

Only a few clients without spyware...

Morgwen, which gnutella clients? Please name them, I'm very curious as you know. Also some not-gnutella clients have a spyware-bonus-pack included. What about Morpheus these days?

limewire and xolox are free... (I have not tested all gnet clients - not yet!)... I know Morpheus, songspy, Imesh all have spyware....

I read morpheus has spyware included in the main program, don´t know if is true or not? Ad-aware cannot discover the spytools!

The most filesharing programs, I have tested, have spyware included... cannot remenber all...
Some of them don´t work anymore if you delete the spytools - like Imesh!
