canadianteddybare4u,

To make WMP your default player for your music files:
Open the folder with your songs outside of LW. An easy way to do that is to go to the library page in LW, hi-lite the audio folder then click the explore button (below the library folders window).

Then right click on one of your files > then click on "Properties" > then where it says "opens with" click on "Change". A box will open, click on "Windows Media Player" then click OK. Then click apply then OK. That should change the files back to WMP.

See: Setting default audio program (click on link)

N9UNQ,

You can filter out .wma files from LW by going to Tools>Options>Filters>Keywords, then add .wma to the list and it will filter them from your search results.

Possibly spam. The question is whether they are playable. As 6_Pac points out, WMA files have licensing issues which may prevent them being copied or burnt, etc. & there's also other safety issues with WMA files you need to be aware of.
