![]() Gawd, the forum is tragicly slow today. Anyway... No, I certainly don't have a web-based search - I don't like them as they don't contribute to the network. What I meant is a program that runs in the CGI on port 80, which collects and sends out IP addressess. Users could manually fetch the addresses, or Gnutella clients can do this automatically (which is something mine could do). This is much easier for certain people, especially since not everyone has access to a full-blown server at home or the office that is capable of handling a decent load. Instead, they can use, say, a shared hosting plan (and since its just a CGI application, it'd be fine to run under most circumstances). |
