![]() Thansk for the quick reply! However, I already searched thru the forums & could not get the other solutions to work properly. I installed j2re-1_4_0_02-linux-i586-rpm.bin, and followed the directions to set the PATH. However, when I ran the installer for LimeWire, several errors popped up, all pertaining to Java. I then checked the java version, & it was still listed as 1.1.8.......so apparently the changes did not take effect. (entering 'which java' gives /usr/lib/java/bin/java......how do I change that to the correct path - j2re?) I ran into this probelm on another comp, & I recall having to modify the path within a file...but I don't remember what file it was. In the other thread, they said /etc/profile...however, that contains several path declarations, & i'm not sure where/or what I should modify. Any ideas? - Thanks for the assistance ![]() |
