Talking Cool

I'll be damned... it fixed it for me too. Theres another solution to a problem that i wouldn't have been able to fix myself in a million years.

thanks,

Blaine

I think either the runLimeWire script is broken, or it is left over from the install program. EIther way it should probably be deleted.

this works in rh7.3 with j2re1.4.1
thpe exactly as said ./runLime.sh

Question Quality Assurance

I have LimeWire running now on Red Hat 8.0 and with this problem out of the way I no longer need to cd to limewire to run runLime.sh whoohoooo!!! Is it just me or should the LimeWire team have caught this code error before they released version 2.6.3? This says to me they simply did not try running the program after making sure the installer worked. You have a great product guys but come on, don't get lazy :-)

Thumbs up re java and script error

Like to thank those in the know, the fixes you pasted here worked like a charm, once I did a search and found kaffe and fixed that in the bash_profile and removed it from the machine and fixed the script error in LimeWire.lax all is well. Great tips guys !!!
Thanks a mill I was about to pull my hair out. These kinda things should be in the install area since so many out there are having these issues.

there should be a line:

lax.nl.java.option.java.stack. size.max=65536

Change it to:

lax.nl.java.option.java.stack.size.max=65536

and LineWire ought to start. That fixed it for me anyhow.

Cheers, Klarg
OMG THAT FIXED IT THANKS!!!!
