 limewire setup probs
i finally installed limewire and got it to run once, but i screwed it up from there....
to quit LW i killed the process in the process manager b/c closing the window didn't work (it was still on the taskbar). now when i try to run LW (by doing sh runLIme.sh) it starts going and then asks me for a folder to save files in (which i already defined in my home directory) no matter what folder i select (or if i let it do the default) i get an error : "LImeWire was unable to use the selected directory for saving files". any help would be appreciated, i have no idea what is wrong. i'm new to linux and could also use help setting up LW as a command so i can click it or simply type limewire to run it instead of the script, and saving the java classpath setting b/c everytime i run a new xterm or restart linux it seems java is 'uninstalled' (typing java gives an unkown command message). |
