| I a terminal, go into superuser mode (su -) and type 'init 3'. That way you can run your XConfigurator. An easier way I found though, is just to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or /etc/X11/XF86Config. At the end of the file, you should have your resolution information. Here is an example of what I am running: Code: Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "NVIDIA GeForce 4 (generic)"
Monitor "Hyundai DeluxScan 17B+"
DefaultDepth 24
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
