Maybe you're using the wrong version of Java? (LimeWire is tested against and works best with with Sun's JRE, Java 1.4+) Can anyone help? Thanks T W E LV E - K |

I am not a Linux user but for some people's systems, for some reason Java 1.4.x is more stable on their systems. Whereas for others it's the other way around. Just a thought!

See the note at the bottom of the error.
LimeWire is tested & works best with Sun's JRE's. The JRE you used is some precompiled other JRE, which apparently has bugs. Download Sun's JRE from java.sun.com. |

type "java -version" and see what it outputs. If it does not say its from Sun Microsystems, you need to set up your environment properly. Look around at forums specific to the distro you are using how to do that.
