Is there any way of making the window for the installer bigger?
I executed the LimeWireLinux.bin program, but the window that comes up is tiny and I can't see anything in it. I can't seem to resize it either. Can somebody tell me how I can fix this? Thanks. |

If you're using KDE, hold down the alt key, then click and hold the right mouse button and drag the window.
If you're not using KDE there will be something similiar for your window manager. :-) |

I've already tried that, but it doesn't seem to let me resize the window. Any other suggestions? Is there a way I can specify the size of the window manually?

Hi !
Exact same problem for me, cannot resize Windows under KDE, have tried everything. As I do not even know what there is to check or enter, I can only click on a portion of the NExt button I see, to no avail. Can anybody help ? regards, |

same problem here in KDE/MDK8.1. Didn't even consider it may just be a KDE issue, so I will try a different window manager when I get home.

Unfortunately...this seems to be a common problem with sun's jdk 1.3.1 and KDE (2.2.1). I have the same problem also with other java programs, like Polarbar.
Has anybody checked jdk 1.3.1_01? For me it helped once or twice to click onto the frame...without any guarantee that it ALWAYS works Cheers |

You can change the size of your window manually. Open limewire.props with a simple text editor and change the entries
APP_HEIGHT=Y APP_WIDTH=X (where x and y stand for whatever your window size currently is) to whatever you want. Save the file, exit, and launch LimeWire. If you are having problems saving, you may need to log in as root the do this. This only works for an already successful install. Try getting zipped copy from someone who got it to install nicely. Good luck! :-) Last edited by TruStarwarrior; October 7th, 2001 at 08:10 PM. |

Then...its probably not a bug, but an 'unclassified feature'
