Question LimeWire 4.16.2 and Ubuntu 7.10, Possible Bugs?

I am running LimeWire 4.16.2 on Ubuntu Linux 7.10 and I've noticed some errors with it but I am not sure if they are bugs or something I am not doing. The first problem I've noticed is that each time I start up LimeWire. It asks me to set it up again as if it were the first time running it. It does this all the time so I guess it's not saving my preferences.

The second issue is when I go to click on a downloaded item in my library and click on the launch button. I get an error saying it cannot open the program. The only way I can launch my downloads is by going into the downloads folder and double clicking on the file. I also get errors when clicking on links. For example the forums link under help will not launch my firefox browser. Instead it says it cannot locate my browser.

Other than these issues, LimeWire appears to function. I am able to download files and view them.

For diagnostic purposes I am including my Java and Ubuntu version information. If you require more information than this. Please let me know what you need and I will be sure to post it.

jaysen@jaysens-desktop:~$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode, sharing)
jaysen@jaysens-desktop:~$

jaysen@jaysens-desktop:~$ uname -a
Linux jaysens-desktop 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Dec 18 08:02:57 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
jaysen@jaysens-desktop:~$

Thank You all in advance for your help.
