Hi, folks,
Forgive me if this is on the forum somewhere that I couldn't find, but I'm curious. I do not have LimeWire installed on any of my systems, but my web access log on a Ubuntu 7.10 server is reporting: ip.ad.dr.ess update0.limewire.com - [09/Apr/2008:10:18:03 -0700] "GET /update.def?guid=DB40FB7F4E9D9BFCA0D74DA53F153800&p ro=false&lang=en&lv=4.16.6&jv=1.5.0_06&os=Windows+ XP&osv=5.1 HTTP/1.1" 200 4168 "-" "LimeWire/4.16.6" I'm a Linux newbie, so maybe this is something obvious, but it struck me as odd that a LimeWire browser would be probing my server. The IP address maps to my cable modem so it looks like something running from inside my network. Thanks for your help! |
