i tried using the deinstall that was in the program and it crashed. then i tried trashing the folder and it said I didnt have access to the files. HELP. I need to remove it froom my harddrive completely.

try logging in as a root user, use the os x find and look for files that have limewire as their file name and throw them in the trash and empty trash, then log back in as you.
