How to get into /var/flexlm and install license manually

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't figure how to get into the /var/flexlm folder to paste in the license.
I tried the aw.dat file but it says it can't find it on desktop. How would I do it manually???

Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!
So frustrated!!!!
