I hhave been having trouble with files that cannot be decompressed or mounted in OS 10.1.5 I have .sit files tell me that the .sit file I attempt to open after downloading "does not appear to be compressed or encoded" O tried upgrading to the most current version of Stuffit Expnader. After I did I got a different message: "Error occurred while expanding(file name.sit) error code 17538" I have tried to download the same files several times without success. Is it file corruption?
The other problem is .dmg files that give the message: "You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read. To use the unreadable volume click initialize". Has ayone expereinced this and solved the problem? Thanks in advance, Scallan |
