I am a user of limewire.when I download movies in mpeg format then when I try to play them i geta message stating that the software needed could not be found to play the movie.I have tried configure the settings but nothing seems to work help me

Everytime that I download and try to play a mpg movie I get a message that a software component needed by the movie could not be found. I need help!

Not all files that end in .mpg are MPEG-1/2 files that QuickTime can handle.
You may have better luck with vlc (VideoLan Client), available at http://www.videolan.org/ . Mark @version@/10.2.4 |

I've also been told that you may need the MPEG-2 component which is not included in QT. You can purchase it seperately at:
