Each new version gets me fewer and less successful downloads. Not only that, but when I have only a single download crawling at 2 kb/sec, it acts like all my bandwidth is gone (i have cable). I can't even get a page to load on internet exlporer because it makes everything so slow. Why do these new version's suck so much? I've heard talk about this acquisition program, but I don't have 10.2. Are there any other alternatives?

well, for mac there is mactella but i never tried that since i dont have a mac.

Well, if you had Jaguar, you could try Acquisition. I suppose you could search LimeWire for an earlier version of Acq, but the newest ones are working much better.

Hopefully you get Jaguar soon. It is way better than version 10.1.5 and below.
