Have been using Limewire recently after long time not downloading. Worked fine until today. Now I have red button and when I try to connect, it flashes green for a second but then goes back to red.

Try updating to the most recent version of LW.

Did you change anything with your network set up recently?

I have the same connection problem and i Dl the newest version and the link you gave out. Still no connection now. Worked perfectly before. I think you need to give a better answer than DL the new version to everyone who has this problem because that doesnt solve it.I wanted to buty the pro but not till it works

Dose your ISP block gnutella?

This happened to me, too. I have got round the problem by connecting to the internet before I open Limewire. This way Limewire connects without any problem. The downside is I need to remember to close Limewire if I lose my internet connection, and then reopen it when I am back online. Hope this helps.

This is very upsetting 4 me. I click connect and the red light turns green for like .5 seconds then it goes red again. I have a new ibook, its a mac osx and i have the latest lime wire. I dont know what to do. Do i need to have a connection adress or something? If so please give me it and i'll type it in. also what does this have to do with kazza?

This has nothing to do with kazaa.

Go to system preferences, network, and disable your firewall. Or open it on port 6346-7. Also, open up those ports on any hardware firewall or other software firewall.

updated software
restarted computer
tried to force connection using my IP addres
i have dsl from comcast not school ethernet
left limewire on for a very long time

so i dont know what else to do. this is very upsetting for me cause i just wana download a little music and get on with my life. I payed for this program and it doesnt work. my friends got theirs for free and they do work. Not cool
