When I want to chatt whit somebody, they never answer me! Why? Does nobody wants to answer, or can't they see it.....?

I've had chats, but not often. I think many leave LW running unattended. There are also other reasons chat won't work when both are willing--I wondered once if chat depends on an open upload slot or something, or depending on a push if one of us was firewalled.
Too, the main window can hide the chat box, so you need to drag one or the other so both are visible. |

Friendly invitations to chat pop up on my PC (WinXP, satellite broadband), but I can't respond. Chat buttons activate nothing, and I can't find tech support answers on Limewire.

So when you type into the text box at the bottom of the chat window, the button to send remains greyed out?
Odd. If someone managed to make a chat box show up on your system, they managed to make a connection to your computer. just curious here--satellite sounds interesting--how do you keep your gnutella port open? Your uploads go through a land line, right? cheers |
