On the internet, but not connected ???

I'm using the latest vers. of LW for OSX. It installed without problems and it opens without problems, but I keep having a red dot in the bottom left corner !!! If I choose 'connect' from the file menu, the dot goes green for a split second, then it goes back to red. What can I do ? My browser tells me that I am connected. Why dosen't LW connect then ???

i am an OS X user also and it does the same thing for me. if anyone knows why it keeps disconnecting so i can't do searches and why when i have limewire open, i can't open any safari websites, please tell me....thanks

Same problem for me. Even tried it on my new dell at work and same problem. I think its the new version??

hay all.
sound like this is a bit of a prob...
well funny anuf i seem to have the same prob. i do get a green go light but it won't let me search for anything thow 2 days ago it let me search but not now.
at the mo i've tryed force my ip (prefrences/advanced/firewall) but as such no luck. i'll keep trying to alter my setting until it work hopefully
anyone found the answer yet?
