thanks for taking the time - just for the record since i posted the thread, i deleted everything to do with limewire pro 3.6.15 and then downloaded 3.8.4 pro, but it still does the same. This is driving me mad, my old 3.3 basic version worked fine.
Will email you the crash report and i hope you can make sense from that, it al looks a bit gobble-de-gook to me.
