I just downloaded limewire for my mac, I'm running mac osX 3.7 it says it is connecting but never seems to connect I'm using a lan line in an appartment complex at school.
What can I do |

Same problem here, but I opened the firewall port (6346) and it still won't work. I'm wondering if it's something to do with my router.

thezizzer many schools block p2p so be aware of that.
Bob the Mediocre: can you give us all the specifics of your set up: 1. OSX version? 2. What firewalls you have? 3. ram? 4. HDD space available? 5. Connection type? 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? |

My version is 10.3.7, I think that's the newest. I'm using OSX's built-in firewall with port 6346 open, and I'm not using any other software firewalls.
Ram is a GB, and i have about 50 GB free on my hard drive. I'm on the network here at school, so I'm not using a modem. I'm using a Lynksys router, model # befsr41 v.3 Hope that helps. Thanks. |
