Limewire now not running

I hope someone can help.

Limewire has now stopped working for me, or in particular the search and downlaod functions. Today it wont find any results for a song that yielded pages of hosts only days ago. The only successful search wouldnt download despite having more than 20 hosts and 4 stars???

I am running 10.3.8 in a G5, and have downloaded Limwire 4.8.1 and (in response to previous threads am running Java 1.4.2_05

I am not getting an error messages, its just stopped working?????????

As a footnote, I have just noted under Tools/Statistics that I am only connected with 26 peers/hosts. From my past experieince of downloads, I would have thought this was very low?

Make a note of all your settings & then close LW & delete the LW preferences found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

I will keep a note of your advice, however inexpicably, after posting my note (and 2 days of frustrations) LW is now working again??
