| i copied all incompletes onto another drive with the little downloads file in the folder then I deleted all mention of limewire off the drive from the system folders and rebooted then installed limw4.4 but when i boot the prefs are to clear downloads over 7days old so it deleted about 300files some of which had downloaded partially so I stopped everything I set the pref to not delete imcompletes till they are 200days old and then I quit I copied all the incompletes from my back up drive again overwriting whatever was in that folder and launched limewire did a refresh of incompletes in the library window then select all and hit resume and it seems to be more stable ok there might be a security risk but lime 4.8 and 4.6 were driving me absolutly nuts quiting all the time its a pity that the new versions were not tested better for osX before release. 4.6 and 4.8 are so bad that I expected a new version quickly so as to keep mac users from going nuts I wonder is it the version of limewire thats the problem or is it that limewire updated java some how and that update doesnt like the mac os? |
