When I said that I couldn't re-install the standalone, that's what I meant. I never tried it with the Software Update... Here, for your information, is what's on my Desktop following the removal of Java1.4.2 update2 and installing the standalone... NO-GO...

Anyway, you can kill this thread if you want, or ban me from further postings, I don't care, I won't lose anymore time trying to share with you whatever works or don't work in OSX vs Limewire.

The ones who moderate a moderator are other mods and, of course, the administrators.

What you need to do is download the full Java, not just the update, because (I think) the update will search for existing Java and alter that. Since you have no Java (you deleted it, yes?) on your Mac, then it can't update anything.
